A Fine Art Collection

About Me

My collection of artwork encompasses personal inspirations, commissioned pieces, and compositions developed through teaching art classes. I work across a variety of mediums, creating two-dimensional compositions on paper, canvas, glass, reclaimed wood, and vintage windows. I transform ideas into tangible art, blending traditional techniques with innovative approaches. Each piece reflects a balance of skill, imagination, and craftsmanship honed over more than 50 years, and every composition includes the story that inspired it. I hope you enjoy my artwork as much as I did creating it.

  • Before the Dance
    Graphite & Colored Pencils

The dry mediums I work with include pencils, charcoal, Prismacolor colored pencils, and pastels. I often combine black-and-white imagery with a selective splash of color. These mediums are ideal for both practice sketching and fine art compositions.

  • Purple Iris Watercolor

    Watercolor Painting

I love working with watercolors, as they were one of the first wet mediums I experienced. Their transparency attributes makes them both challenging and rewarding. Once I developed a strong watercolor techniques, I was able to utilize them in oils, and later in acrylic paintings.

  • Coastal Retreat
    Acrylic Paintings

Acrylic painting has truly become my favorite medium. Its versatility allows me to start and stop at will. When I first began working with acrylics, I incorporated watercolor techniques to refine shapes and shadows. Many of my favorite compositions were created using acrylics.

  • Simple Beauty
    Oil Paintings

Early in my career, I couldn’t afford supplies. My step-mother gave me a set of oil paints, canvases and brushes. I was so excited to paint! I progressed quicky and I was able to sell every piece I created. Some of my earliest profitable compositions were created in oils.

  • Crab Trap Mural
    Mural Paintings

Mural painting is one of my most rewarding forms of expression. The lasting presence of each wall brings a deep sense of accomplishment. While I don’t have photos of every mural I’ve created, I hope you enjoy the few shared in my library.

  • Lettuce, Turnip, the Beet Old Window
    Vintage Windows & Decor

Some of the most compelling décor comes from reclaimed wood, aged windows, doors, and other found pieces. Each design becomes a one-of-a-kind creation, shaped by imagination and history. While unprofitable, the process remains deeply rewarding and endlessly enjoyable.
